Rummage Sale

Thank You!

Thanks to the rummage sale committee for all of their hard work with the delay of collections and the decision to go forward. We very much appreciate the donations of friends of Nardin Park as well as our members. We have donated to the Aldersgate Project, Fort Street Presbyterians Men's Homeless Shelter, Habitat for Humanity, The Salvation Army, Volunteers America, Eyeglasses for Mexico, Stuffed Animals to the Farmington Hills Police Department, helped a friend, CASS, and Detroit Public Schools.

 

Ever thankful to Sherry and Tim Wright for sorting along with Marilyn and Bob Elliott, Janet and Rich Lefstad, Betsy Adams, Peggy Aranowski, & Judy Blaney. Thanks to the Tom Sayles Family for paying for the workers’ dinner in his memory and also to Judy Blaney, the Wrights, Tina Jensen, Mary Glenn, & Donna Doerr. Thanks to Dorothy Moore for sorting and fixing all the jewelry, setting up, and cleaning up. Thanks to Gail & Tim Pawl for all their work for Previously Loved along with Barb Kahl, Marion McCoy & others.

 

Thanks to Bruce Irey, Alan Helisek, & Tom Tobe for pickup and setup, especially the desks. Also, Tom for recycling the cardboard. Thanks to Paul and Tammy Kochan for handling the money. Karen Rowe for signs & more, Greg Hicok for security & more. Special thanks to Cliff Donovan for leading the setup and breakdown. Thanks to Pastor Phil for stopping by to talk to workers & getting to know some new people. The Rummage Committee has given over $12,000 to mission needs & projects at Nardin Park since the spring sale. Our emphasis is now on the kitchen. The ceiling has been repaired & painted for starters.

 

All the people listed have worked or helped with Rummage for a few or many hours. We will be holding only one yearly sale in the future. We feel fall is the best time, most likely in October. Save items or let me know if we need to store items for you. Some small furniture items are on the stage listed on the Facebook marketplace. Members may purchase if interested. This is a mission project for people that can’t afford retail prices. Many friends and neighbors look forward to our sale & have for years.

 

We hope for more Nardin Park participation in the future.
