Welcome Julie Boardman!

Julie Boardman

Hello,

My name is Julie Boardman, and I am delighted to be your new Financial Bookkeeper here at Nardin Park. I have a diverse background, having worked in automotive, software, start-ups, and consulting companies. I hold a business degree from Wayne State University and am excited to contribute to Nardin Park's financial success. This place is truly a gem in the community, and I am honored to be a part of it. I have big shoes to fill, as Karl Heiss has been amazing and will be greatly missed. I will strive to be an invaluable asset to your community. I plan to be here on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and another day during the week.

A little about me: I have been married for 25 years to my husband, Tony Boardman, who works in Finance at an automotive supplier and is a U of M alumnus. We have three children: Kyle, 19, who will be 20 in September and second year at Michigan State University; Ryan, who will be 18 in July and plans to attend Western Michigan University in the fall; and Amelia, who will be 15 in November and will start high school at St. Catherine’s Academy in Novi. We also have a sweet Rat Terrier named Sophie, who helps me take care of the family. Over the years, I have worked and volunteered extensively at my children's schools, including the PTA, football and basketball teams, karate, figure skating, dance, auctions, and more. My two boys had music lessons at Nardin Park when they were younger. I am the youngest of six children, with three siblings in-state and three out-of-state, and we are all very close. My mother, who is in her 90s, lives in Shelby Township, and I try to help her once a week. Family, friends, and faith are everything to me. I love cooking for friends and family, visiting the farmers market in downtown Farmington on Saturday mornings, and walking with Sophie. I am always eager to learn and try new things.

Thank you for having me, and I will do my best for everyone in this beautiful place called Nardin Park.

Best regards,
Julie Boardman
