Nardin Park UMC collects loose change every Sunday during service that is donated to various nonprofits in our community. Every month the nonprofit changes. Please read below about some of the organizations we donate too. Thanks for helping us, help our community. 

April - Crop Walk for Hunger

Sponsored by Church World Services on Sunday, May 7, 1-3 pm. A 1 mile and 5k will be blocked off in downtown Farmington for the walk, with the starting place at Farmington First UMC, 33112 Grand River.

Local agencies share 25% of the total amount raised;

  • CARES of Farmington Hills
  • Neighborhood House of Farmington
  • Salvation Army Farmington Branch
  • Yad Ezra Kosher Food Pantry
  • Zaman International

May - Neighborhood House

Neighborhood House is a non-profit charity, supported totally by our local community, that provides assistance to local needy families and individuals in Farmington and Farmington Hills. Neighborhood House is an affiliated organization with the Farmington Area Goodfellows.

June - Soles for Souls

All donations to soles for souls will go to Melvindale Centro Familiar Cristiano UMC. Donations can be labeled Soles for Souls, or “shoes”.

July / August - School Supplies

September - Food Fund

This is a fund used for any need involving food. For example, if there are not enough funds specifically designated to provide food items for the annual lunch that Nardin Park UMC provides for the Crossroads program, funds can be obtained from the Food Fund

October - Harvest Altar

Pasta sauce in a can

Cake mixes
Packages of cookies
Cans of tuna
Mayonnaise
Instant potatoes Ex. Hungry Jack

November - Operation Common Good

Operation Common Good (OCG) is a non-profit organization that supports families in Farmington Public Schools in Farmington, Michigan. OCG is a subsidiary of the Farmington/Farmington Hills Education Foundation. (501(c)3) Absolutely 100% of donations go directly toward helping our families in need.
