Crossroads Soup Kitchen

Mark your calendars!
It’s time again to help support

Crossroads Soup Kitchen!

The Missions Team has organized a volunteering effort for Sunday, April 18, 2021 and we need your help. 2021 will be the 50th Anniversary for Crossroads providing help and hope to individuals in need. Their goal this year is to comply with state and health organization protocols to ensure the safety of clients, staff, and volunteers. They also will strive to serve a nutritious meal in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This is where Nardin Park can help.

We are looking for volunteers to help prepare and pack lunches for 375-400 guests. Strict safety measures will be followed by all those involved. Masks must be worn at all times and social distancing will be followed when preparing, packing, and serving the lunches.  Lunches will be distributed on a to-go basis, with no clients entering the building. Your support can be given in person by volunteering, in kind through financial donations to the Food Fund to help cover the cost of food supplies for the day, or in thoughtful prayer for those volunteering or in need of the support. We are looking for 30 individuals (15 per shift) to help prepare lunches from 8:15-11:15AM and to pack and serve from 10:30-1:30PM.

Please use the Sign-Up Genius form below to volunteer!

We look forward to the 18th and being able to continue to support this wonderful mission. Please feel free to contact Deb or Jeff Lockledge if you have any questions or concerns. We can be reached at dlockledge@gmail.com or 248-943-1695.
