Congregational Conversations

Congregational Conversations on Inclusion, Diversity, and our Public "Voice".
The Leadership Board recently received a request and a petition for a change in our electronic signage and these conversations are being offered so that we can create safe space for all of us to learn, share and dialogue together as the body of Christ. Each conversation will take place with an outside facilitator and will be done in a respectful manner. Each conversation has a specific focus and will include a brief presentation by the facilitator, some personal stories related to the topic shared by congregation members, time to discuss questions around tables and a closing community building activity The process of these conversations will help the leadership board to listen carefully as they continue to filter the request through our church mission and vision, which guides us on all matters.

The conversations will be held in person in our fellowship hall from 12:30 to 2pm.
The dates are as follows:
Sunday, March 6th
Topic: Holy Conferencing and how Christians best talk together when we disagree, the petition and the process of these conversations
Sunday, April 3rd
Topic: Anti Bias/ Anti Racism Education
Sunday, May 1st

No pre-registration is necessary for either the conversations or for the lunch and lunch will include a gluten-free and vegetarian option.
There will also be an online option for participation in each conversation. Details on the online option are below.
Childcare for young children can be provided if scheduled in advance. Please email Kristen Trachet at Kristen.npchurch@gmail.com at least one week before each conversation if you would like childcare.
As we do in worship, masks are strongly encouraged for those in-person during the conversations.

Items include:

Bins will be available in the fellowship hall to collect these items and they will be delivered shortly after each conversation to Farmington Cares.
